dog walking at La de Dardle

La de Dardle is the ideal place to own and walk a dog. believe you me.dog walkers and their dogs come in all sorts of sizes, sexes and shapes. we have walks along the wetlands, bushland tracts, around canals, along the river and the favourite of course the beach.

on many of the dog paths little portraits of individual dogs can pop up.  tho many of these little treasures have been souvenired recently.

i reckon every second person around here owns and walks a dog. as advised by the medical who ha. and its handy that all these oldies can introduce themselves by the name of their dog. and learn of the dog's emotional and medical problems rather than the human whinges. except some of the ladies who walk the beach between 8 and 9 in the morning have a fair grasp of the progress of everyone's cancer, prostrate, arthritis and dementia.

you can write the life story of a person just by watching them walk their dog. Casey's master is a nice quiet chap who adores his dog. even when he suffered a heart attack, according to my friend Jenny who knows these things, he still walked his dog.

and Bert from round at the retirement village has owned his dog Fred for 17 years, which is an amazing life for a labrador. the management round there made a special allowance. and so they should. he always carries a large stick these days as both he and Fred are feeling their age.

then there is jenny who knows all the goss on everyone around la de Dardle with her dog Mortimer. one always wonders who is walking who. especially when her blood pressure rises.

however one of ma favourites has to be my friend who is minding Lola.  along with Jack, Lucy and Maggie. she actually does not walk in la de Dardle. so no use looking!  Lola is an amazing golden retriever who as you may well guess retrieves everything. including dead kangaroos and stumpy lizards. live ones that is. the behaviour below is enough to distract Miss Lola while the stumpy is rescued.

but my very favourite dog outing was with Michael, yes i can name him, he never reads trash he says.  when Deeta the dalmatian had  six or seven puppies one hot summer he decided we would all have an outing to the beach. he chose the lagoon area and this was the result.

happy dog walking. but beware. you could end up in a cartoon
